Default Dell Laptop Battery Recall - Australia as well?

I saw an article on Google News yesterday about a Battery Recall for selected Dell Laptops, my model (9300) was listed.

When I rang Dell to find out whether Australia was also covered for the recall they couldnt give me a straight answer (in fact i got a yes and a no in 2 sentences).

https://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/Identify.aspx says that my battery is not affected, but my ID number is only one off one of the recalled sets...

Anybody able to shed any light?

Hmm mine came up as fine ... purchased in August.

I find it funny how the example label on the site says "made in Japan". Mine's from China, and i'm guessing 99% of them are too

The made in Japan Dell batteries are made by Sony I've got a Dell i8600 from Feb 04, and both of my primary batteries aren't listed.
