Cheap Compaq Turion laptop at Dick Smiths!

This Compaq 2402AU laptop is only $1299 after $200 cashback from HP.
I'm seriously considering getting this laptop tomorrow. =)

What do you think of the new Turion CPU? (I currently use a Athon 64 3200+)

I'll maybe discard one of the memory later and buy 1 gig chip.
But other than that, it looks darn good for the money don't you think? (I don't expect to play games on it and rather smaller LCD so that I can carry it to work and use it in the train)

Is there something better than this laptop for $1500 or below that i've missed?

using 3dmark 01 it just comes short of getting 1000 marks and thats cheaper then we sell it at officeworks but we can price match

I live in Penrith so I'm planning going to DSE Powerhouse tomorrow.

According to the review below (which has the slower Turion 1.6ghz cpu, but same ATI Xpress 200M with X300 core) , it scored 2656 in 3DMark01 SE.
