Default Xbox Live ?

Hi

I just purchased a Xbox Live starter pack with included 12month subby, i have installed it ans it's asking for a credit card, why?

Also i don't have a credit card so would a visa debit card be ok?

Please help as i am itching to get this going

It does it as a security measure and so that when the sub is up, they can deduct another year from your card easily. The Xbox 360 allows you to sign up without a card, but not with the Xbox.

Do they actually notify you when they are going to charge for another years sub or do they just charge you for it blindly?

Also i paid $42 for the starter pack with the 12mth sub included so i am guessing it will cost me $42 or thereabouts per year per sub, correct?

Thanks for your help

They notify you. And I think a new year is around $60 or so. They sell the starter packs at low prices to get you into it.
