Default Request : Chilli sauce

Does anyone have a recipe on how to make chilli sauce or paste?

I was given 4 chilli plants yesterday and i wouldn't mind trying to make some.

I've found this to be nice, if you're in for a less-heat-more-taste kinda sauce. Just be sure to use actual coconut vinegar, because it doesn't work without it.

Edit: Takes a lot longer than 15 minutes to get down to a reasonable consistency, at least in the size (7x recipe) I was making it in.

My uncle makes chilli sauce.

He likes it HOT, and i mean HOT.

If the average person had it, youll most likely start crying

If you want the recipe i can ask him...

ON TOPIC:

Basic Chilli and Garlic Sauce:

Remove stems from chillis and dice finely (keep the seeds and membrane - hottest part of chilli).
Peel cloves of garlic and crush.
Add some oil to a put and heat on medium.
Once hot throw in garlic and stir immediately.
Add chillis and stir
Add a can of diced tomato
Add diced capsicum if you wish to dilute strength.
Add some balsamic vinegar. (Just a little)
Add one teaspoon of sugar per "estimated" cup of chilli.

Simmer until ingredients combine and reduce.
Transfer to blender or stick your Bamix-type blender-on-a-stick into the pot and whizz until saucy consistency is reached. If it's still too thick, simmer to reduce further and/or add a little cornflour disolved in water to the mix. Remove from heat immediately.

You can optionally add spices of your choice before blending: corriander, cumin, parsley, whatever you like.

This is a very basic sauce suitable for bottling. Skip the blender part if you prefer a chutney.

The fun part of cooking, imho is the inventing, not following a strict recipe.

bon appetite!
