Default msn messenger for mac

hey guys, i was wondering if any of you use the microsoft messenger app.. and find that it is very frustrating to use- ie. regular random sign-outs, occasional crashing when a file is dragged and dropped into a conversation window, file transfers that always fail, if not take ages, etc etc etc?

or is it just me that's experiencing these problems?

cheers
julz

thanks very much for the replies, i shall make some space and give them a go, but none of them seem to have a fully functional file transfer yet
thats the main thing i want- since now every time i want to send people photos or some other large file... i have to kick someone off a pc and use the wintels instead. frustrating

Adium file transfer works great for me - as does the rest of the app.

Hey thats pretty cool... i do like that indeed

I have also noticed that many times file transfer via MSN for MAC fails...

I really do not like the interface for Adium or fire though...

aMSN tries to duplicate as much as possible the PC version. Mercury messenger is a fugly java app that is very functional. Adium is the most popular multi-network app followed by Proteus and Fire.

Nice little program. Worth the money I think.
