Default bf2 ping question

Hey guys well I have an annoying problem that I can't seem to solve. I am on BP cable unlimited with the 10gig cap. I have been with BP cable pretty much since it was available.

Problem is when I am playing BF2 online. I get kicked from servers constantly because I have a high average ping which is usually 300 or so.

Now when I connect its usually about 40-50 then it just gets worse after playing for a bit. There local aus servers too like Ausgamers and such. I thought it was the seek time on my hdd or maybe dying but its not, and I have tested my comp on my friends adsl connection and it was fine with good ping.

One of my mates told me there is no longer any SLA for BP cable.

Can anyone confirm this?

Is there any other reason why I would be getting a bad ping?

Cheers.

Does the game run fine in single player? Is there any video lag, like dropped frames etc?

Have you set the connection settings in the BF2 options?

Yeah single player runs fine. Ill have to check the Internet connection setup but that's something I didn't think off.

Ill have a play with that and see what happens.

Cheers.
