ouzo is evil...
drank it on the way back from thailand a few years back on an olympic airways flight....

would rather drink rocket fuel.

Ouzo is aniseed. Tastes like licorice but a lot harsher than Sambucca. If you want a decent Greek spirit drink Metaxa.

It's made from Fennel (that plant that smells like anniseed). There are some people who make their own, but it's made commercially as well.

I'm suprised noone has mentioned "jellybean" yet, ouzo and rasberry softdrink (or rasberry cordial+lemonade). It's been a long long time since I've touched ouzo. Too many bad hangovers for me to want to drink it again in a hurry.
