Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown in a few days, then Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in September.....2012 is a good year for fighters, except Street Fighter x Tekken, such an abomination of a game.

Anybody know where you can buy Hori Fight Stick 3's nowadays? Not having much luck finding stores that stock them.

I've already got one and was looking for another since they are reasonably inexpensive compared to higher end ones which are well out of my budget.

Man i cant wait for it, so good to see people still making games with HD 2d graphics, something im willing to support. Wish it was also on PC though.

Anyone know what the AUS release date is? JB has it listed as 31/12/2012 which seems an odd time to release a game.....apparently its region locked so no importing

Damn region locking. So pissed about that. My US PS3 died in January and I replaced it with an AU model because, hey, no games are region locked right? Argh. Apparently early september is the date that is provisionally up in the air but the date has already been pushed back a couple times so don't hold your breath.

Yeah it sucks, of all the games to be released why'd this one have to be region locked...Honestly they can go for their life with region locking, but they could at least not make us wait so much longer for the game.

I tried playing SFxT last night...0 players online lol need a new fighting game.

Picked up Dead or Alive 5 today. I hadn't seen any of the games in action since DOA2 on Dreamcast many years ago.

It reminds me of a cut down and bouncy version of Tekken. Not sure if that is a good thing, but I don't think it matters, given I'm terrible at Tekken and its derivatives anyway.

DOA isn't a fighting game. It's "rock paper scissors" with tits.

on a fun note, I work with the team that did all the DOA's (yes, even the beachvollyball crap)...I asked itagaki about why he made those, it was money....the beach vollyball games made more than the fighters...go figure.

Hahaha classic! Itagaki is such a wannabe rockstar. You've got to give the guy props for pulling off that look the way he does.

Suda51 is the biggest flake ive ever worked with though. guy desperately wants to be famous.

So, wanting to get into a good fighting game - maybe play online. I've played many before but never got heavily into any specific one.

What one should I get?

SFIV arcade edition, mortal kombat (newest one), SF x Tekken?

Also - steam or ps3?
