Also being a big Akuma/Gouki fan, I usually see those sorts of things coming. Sneaking the demon in the middle of various combos is the only way to unleash it, and REALLY pisses people off when they don't see it coming.

Man it's so fun being evil. I really enjoy how games let you be the big bad these days, not like the "goody two shoes vs the world" crap of the 80's.

Only fighting game i've spent a lot of time playing is Tekken 3. Sucks that the tekkens aren't on XBox. Mortal Kombat DA was alright, but i haven't really found a fighting game i can get into on the xbox. DOA flat out sucks.

hmmm, Well, SF3 3rd strike would be on top. Followed by SF Alpha 3.

Guilty gear is pretty good and last blade.

On 3D fighters - the only ones I've enjoyed are Soul Calibur & Soul Calibur 2...

yep. to end a match its nasty. no long 17 hit chun-li thing....just a black screen with 'Heaven' (or somthing, wife told me once)

I find Q is just fun to play..his grabs are just the meanest things. i prefer playing Q to gouki these days...Q is just brutal

I find his Kongou Kokuretsu Zan more impressive.

sure, sometimes I use it for show value, ie parry chunli's l2 super (just the last hit is needed) and then you have enough time to use it. but its only really useful against people that wiff supers / air moves (newbies / scrubs)

Namco (makers of the Tekken series) have an ongoing deal with Sony to only make Tekken games for their System11/12/246/258 hardware (essentially all various playstation hardware in a box attached to an arcade system). Namco get the hardware for cheap, and then release only to Sony hardware for home consoles. Pretty sweet deal for the both of them, but it means you must buy Sony hardware if you want to play them at home.

The Kanji is the same symbol for "heaven" and "large". It pretty much sums up the feel of the move. Supposedly Akuma manages to tear a rift in dimensions and drags his opponents into hell for just a moment. If there is even a single ounce of evil in the person (as there is in all people, even the best of us) the demons attack. The more evil a person, the worse the damage. Supposedly according to the Street Fighter story line there was only one person ever who avoided the attack (Gen, from the Alpha series) by clearing their mind and thinking only pure thoughts. And yes, good Q players are amazing to watch. I've been beasted by Q a few times, only to go home and try him out for myself and suck badly. This grasshopper has much to learn...

Weapon fighters! I dig Samurai Shodown II and III (I don't like I and IV, and haven't played V yet). Last Blade I and II are both great too, not to mention their super-fluid and beautiful graphics.

I love doing a raging demon on wakeup and taking my opponent by surprise.

Akuma can dish out a lot of damage in 3rd Strike but his health meter is just too low. He looses why too much health from normal attacks and combos compared to the other cast.

prob with wakeup demon is people usually have somthing queued up for when you get up, they arent just 'waiting'

now, wake up parry into demon...thats nasty.

yeah akuma is the weakest of the bunch, and his normal supers arent so hot either...but he's very versatile. good rush down especially when opponents are cornered...kara-flips really mess with people.

yeah chun can combo into sa2 from just about anything, its very fast...but if whiffed leaves a LOT of time open (especially if the last hit is parried)

its funny about akuma's damage...with 3 tuants Q takes less than half the damage on Akuma...but then, after 3 tuants Q takes the least damage in the game
