Default Seeing red.

Something a little different for me. I'm usually very vocal against people processing shots as b&w with added colour ... but i couldn't help myself with this shot. C&C more than welcome.

cheers

I think you've slightly over done the saturation of the red channel it looks visibly fake.

IMHO reflective surfaces dont have that colour in them, it just wouldn't happen.

You need light emittion to create that colour (ie a pc monitor).

Looking very arty, certainly looks good assuming that's the effect that you were after!

I agree with the first two replies. Background looks rad, the red car is too much out of place.

thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated...

absolutely zero saturation to this image... the red is standing out so much as it was the only vehicle i have used lighting on... the others are very dark... i'll post the original colour version later on so that you can see the red is in line with the saturation of the other colours.

cheers.

I'd really like to know how you guys do those.
I have tried quite a few times in PS. I just can't find a way to make a accurate mask- it always comes out with jagged edges that make the final product look really crap.

I LOVE it.

It screams at you - nay, it leaps out of the picture, grabs your eyeballs, and pulls them out of their sockets screaming 'LOOK AT ME NOW!'.

Very nice

The photo looks alright, but I agree with a few other people in that the red is too harsh. If it was toned down a little it'd be perfect.

Good Photo.
The red looks perfectly exposed. It appears brighter because it was lit by the flash and because it has been contrasted by the dark background.

Would like to see the original photo.

I think it would look even better (and possibly fit in more) if there was a slight red hue to the floor below the red car.

Good shot nonetheless
