Nice pics, but the colours are a little dull.
I reckon they would benefit from some Velvia goodness...

Cheers,
Martin.

Wait around longer next time and get the clouds after the sun has dropped below the horizon.

Thanks for the comments! I'll keep it in mind on my next sunset trip. I just quickly looked up Velvia (its a type of film yeah?). Anyway, I'm using a digital camera, Pana FZ5 actually so it probably won't help me

I believe velvia is also a term used to describe an action that produces the same effect on digital photos as the velvia film does naturally.

Please correct me if a I am wrong.

Velvia, i believe is a colour correction/enhancement plugin for photoshop, I could be wrong, it could be a standalone program. Or i might be totally wrong

Velvie is a pay for downoad Fred Miranda plug in for Photoshop, though there are free versions around. There is a thread on it around here somewhere if you search on it.

I don't have photoshop, but I've found a couple of "velvia-like" plugins for the GIMP so I'm gonna give that a go.
