I've owned a few Gecube cards over the last few years and they have been nothing but good to me - some of them have even been quite good overclockers. Seems like a good pickup, reminds me of the prices of the 9700/9800 pro's when they were released/affordable.

These cards run HOT, 85-90c in 3d and 54c idle, dont really like the fan sound it just sounds kinda like a hair dryer turned on low..lol but it only revs 100% for a couple secs at startup cant hear it idle.

bundle includes: all sorts of video in/out cables 2 dvi/vga adaptors delta force xtreme pc game, cyber link power dvd 6, power director and 8.2 cat drivers, but dont bother installing cd drivers, just dl official 6.3 cat drivers

hence why i prefer his
i have had a few gexcubes as well and they were nothing but trouble from shoddy workmanship/no tim on the gpu/poor quality ram and absolute crap coolers.
2 his and neither a dud and well put together.

personally i would order the his and wait.

Thanks for the details. I've already decided that if the cooler blows monkey trumpets, I'll just whack a Zalman on there.

guess depends on generation of cards not sure about X1900XT

but i'd had a whole string of Gecube/Gigacube cards all overclock above average

Gecube 9600Pro VIVO
Gecube 9600Pro <-- still have
Gecube 9800NP <-- loaner from retailer for testing out
Gecube 9800Pro Extreme <-- runs in my current work pc i'm typing from now
Gecube X800 Pro <-- first one had a failed fan but was replaced from local stock at disty thanks !

only tried one Powercolor X800XT and this HIS X1800XT

Thanks for the endorsement. Now I'll have to wait and see if my PSU can handle it.

If the PSU is what you have in your sig you should be fine with a single card. It ran fine in single on my Antec 430 but when I put crossfire on that is when it started crashing.

Thanks for the reassurance. There is a lot of BS on forums regarding power supplies. Thats why I tend to take personal recommendations seriously.
