Default Your photo of the Week - 15/03/06

A new thread every week where you can post a shot from the previous week.

It may be your favorite for any number of reasons . ie technically good, a favorite model or even just because it's different to what you normally shoot.

Add the story that goes with the picture if you like but it's not necessary. It's just an excuse to post a picture that you'd like to share.

Feel free to ask for a critique if you like and comment on other shots if you wish.

cheers,
bazz.

I'll kick it off from one this morning.

Still playing around with the new 300mm f4 + 1.7x TC.

Handheld they're a bit soft but I like this one anyway.

cheers,
bazz.

Hehehe...thanks for reminding me.

I'll change it one day when I find a nice Pentax logo.

It's far from a quality shot - I used my crappy Sigma 70-300 Macro 1:2 lense that I got with the 350D - but I kinda like it. I should have my Tamron 90mm soon so maybe i'll try to get it again, although the weather will probably drop in the next week preventing much Bee action

Hi all

From last Sunday's NRL round one match between the Brisbane Broncos and the North Queensland Cowboys. I was way up at the back, about 10 rows from the very top of Suncorp Stadium. Approx the middle 2000 pixels were taken from the shot, and then resized for here.

You may well be right here but either way I've just dropped it off at CRK for a service. I've had other inconsistent issues that I'm not happy about and I wanted it checked out to be sure.

On my monitor, the shot looks like it's come out about 1 stop underexposed. (I see 18% gray feathers instead of white ones ) Is it just this monitor?
I may have underexposed it in post to preserve some highlight details but it may have also been the overcast morning which explains the drab colors. I'd check the RAW file if I hadn't deleted it already. Funny as I usually keep all RAW's but I just wasn't happy with the results.

Good work, and I'm not just saying that because now you have the power to ban me!
And your high on my list for my first ban....just gimme an excuse

cheers,
bazz.
