Default Toshiba Laptop Floppy

Hi,
I just bought a A6 and my gf needs a floppy drive aswell, just wondering what is the difference between PA3109U3FDD and PA3109U1FDD ??

I think the PA3109U-3FDD is just the current model. Even though the PA3109U-1FDD is listed on toshiba's site, It isn't on our systems anymore. Possibally USB 2.0 or something. Dunno.

I just see tonnes of 1FDD on ebay (and much cheaper than 3FDD) and hoping that it is basically the same product.

A bit of topic but you can't get her to use a USB THumb Drive, they're faster, cheaper, survive dropping and the washing machine - mine did anyway

Otherwise a Yumcha USB Floppy from Ebay might be the go,

I can get her to use a thumb drive but the problem is with the schools she goes to, they dont have any usb (front or back) and wont allow her lappy to connect to their network.
