Default i-River 20gig 2.5" hdd. Where can i get one?

Hello. My i-River has been playing up and its been giving off the click of death.

Now could i just buy this(2.5"external usb harddrive) :

And Take this Samsung 5400RPM Notebook Hard Drive with 8M Cache out and put it into my i-River?

I dont see any reason why it wouldnt work. Altho you would be much better off just buying the hard drive by its self, http://www.staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/...2+samsung+40gb and ull save 100 bucks

are you sure it uses a normally 2.5" drive? I know most of the creative series use a micro drive?

Nah mate, you need one that is a certain size.

Also, what is your player? The H300 and H100 are easy to get new HDD's for, not sure about the others though.

If you have a H300, is it a H320? If so, you will need to get a single platter HDD, as the double platter ones are too big to fit in the case.

Toshiba MK2004GAL, MK2006GAL, MK2008GAL single platter, 20GB for H320
Toshiba MK3006GAL, MK3008GAL is the same drive : 30GB Single Platter
Toshiba MK4007GAL is a 40GB Single Platter

Toshiba MK2006GAH, MK4006GAH for a H340

I have the ihp120.

im guessing i need a single platter?

Those ones listed on that website. Are they single platterd? Because it doesnt mention it.
