I don't pay any of the electricity... that's is why I have a mum.

PC: 24/7 - it is networked to my laptop, so it's a storage place for large files and my laptop uses the internet via it hence why it is on 24/7.

Laptop: "24/7" when I am at home although it goes in to hibernation with hard drives etc turned off after 25 minutes or something like that. At school it's on only when i need it.

pc's really don't use much energy, atleast according to a few articles from dansdata I've read... especially if you have the monitor off overnight...

I use suspend to RAM, so I don't have to worry about boot times. So no, I don't leave my computer on.

I cant sleep in a silent room. I grew up next to a highway so im used to the noise. Its weird because i can be lying on my bed watching a movie or something and someone will have a shower and i just fall asleep. Water soothes me

Usually have it off overnight because the noise bothers me + the fact that its just idling, doesn't need to be on. If im downloading something i'll leave it on though.
