All borked.

Overexposed (burnt sky) which has also added all the motion blur.

Before you go for getting correct timing and whatnot, which will be difficult with p&s shutter lag, try and get the exposures closer to correct. Does your camera have any sort of exposure compensation?

Reshoot?

PS : Are you doing tricks onto grass??...

I don't think that the subjects are overexposed.

Yeah but the rest is! and its introduced motion blur and there is *no* contrast on my screen.

Maybe use flash? Don't shoot at that time of day?

Dan : The images still need a lot of work. You'll need to be able to use a remote flash if you want wheelsandwax quality.

Yeah, I agree with catalyst here. The sky is borked, contrast needs to be upped in post-processing and levels adjusted and whatnot. Plus, you could benefit alot from getting motion blur out of the way. The composition is decent, you just need to adjust the way you take the picture.

This = a video camera right?

So what camera are you using?
You should provide the link to your last thread so we can compare, because a lot of photo's go through these forums!

Also, as a side note, you have a couple of mistakes in your profile:
Furnature, should be furniture, and ect., should be etc.

good attempt mate- keep clicking!

a flash would have allowed you to give the subjects a bit better exposure, whilst you drop the exposure on the sky (read on)

This can best be done by increasing shutter speed. This in turn will help you capture clearer pictures that 'freeze the moment'.

Probably a bit too much saturation now - the colour of your jeans is way too intense - doesn't look real.

I agree with others, try tweaking the contrast using curves in photoshop

Here are some more pics...some are a bit dark i feel, but all are taken by me, so pls enjoy

1# Matt Galvin - Indy (gets lost in background i feel)

2# Matt Galvin - 50-50

3# Matt Galvin - Fakie Heel

4# Matt Galvin - Kickflip

5# As always we have to finish off on a less serious note, this pic is of my friend ranga. He doesn't know i took it, but I was sitting on the ground behind him and saw that it looked like he was looking at an old ladies ass, so i then proceeded to take a photo that could be used against him if needed

Feedback once again appreciated, thanks guys.

Ok. fill-in flash needed on all of them. To my mind composition is pathetic on all of them, all in the centre of the frame with far to much space around them, but as has been pointed out before, you have to show the surrounding and what the trick is all about, or something like that.

1# Matt Galvin - Indy (gets lost in background i feel)
Flash would help make him stand out from the background. background is the best of the lot being uncluttered, focussing your attention on the skater.

2# Matt Galvin - 50-50
very cluttered and dark background, I would have thought portrait on the skater and seat would have shown what he was doing and made for a better photo.

3# Matt Galvin - Fakie Heel
Nice symmetry with the Woolworths sign and the pair of doors, steps etc. fill in flash needed to illuminate the skater. Bags need to be remove from the steps.

4# Matt Galvin - Kickflip
Again, portrait would be better here, cutting the car out from distracting the viewer. fill in flash etc etc

I still feel that getting in closer and focussing more on the skater and less on the background would make for a better photo, but if you think that they are better this way then so be it. I think the poses look like spastic chooks and don't get me started on the names ...
