I wouldn't use wording as strong as that but it would be nice to see a 2nd authorised distributor who would actually import and promote Pentax lenses.

This I never understood. Pentax never struck me as being all that expensive when it comes to lenses.

So how come they won't even import a handful of examples?

And on that note, who would you guys recommend to purchase Pentax lenses from overseas?

G'day Tony

My guess is they have greater, (financial), incentives to push Sigma lenses. They will order Pentax glass on request but in this country we miss out on bulk discounting and rebates.

As far as buying them for yourself there are some killer rebates on Pentax lenses in the US at the moment if you know someone who qualifies for them. ie. US mailing address.

BHPhoto is the go for new lenses and KeH for 2nd hand lenses.

Never had a problem from either retailer.
