Default Win2K Adv Server help.

I'm currently running 2K Adv Server single CPU.

I'm about to install a VP6 and DualPIII's.

Do I need to do a complete re-install to gain Dual CPU functionality, or can I simply upgrade the machine type?.

If you switch Motherboards, it would be best if you re-install the OS. If you are just adding another cpu onto the existing dual setup, then you can change the "Computer" under device manager to "ACPI Multiprocessor" to make use of both the CPUs

Hmmmm... I've heard of people having "issues" with changing the machine type... just wanted to see if it was feasable in the real world. Have you guys actually performed this successfully, or are you going on what you *should* be able to do?.

Not being narky, just asking
