Default Top PDA Programs: 2006

After getting a brand new iPAQ RX1950 given to me, I have been doing some research trying to figure out what to put on it.

Following on from this thread, which is a little outdated, could everyone please list there must-have programs and what OS?

So far I am really only using PocketGBA until I get a new SD card. OS is Windows Mobile 5.0.

PalmOS garnet:

Pocketquicken
plucker
tomeraider
LyME

Everything else I can live without. Those four make owning a pda worthwhile

I am looking at tomeraider and considering getting a 1GB SD dedicated to holding the Wikipedia. I imagine it would be invaluable to have with you at all times.

I can't get by without Wisbar Advance 2 and Pocket Hack Master.

Also, Sprite Backup does it's job, is easy to use and I've never had a problem. Just remember to hard reset and correct the date before a restore. This program has saved me countless times. If you've just gotten an ipaq, you'll probably be installing a million little programs on there to see how they go. I suggest you set up your ipaq, backup, install everything, find out what you like, hard reset, restore backup, and then just install what you think is necessary.

There are too many poorly written PPC apps out there that'll break your Windoze Mobyle.

EDIT: Oh... I was going to say something else, but by the time I'd clicked edit, I'd forgotten what it was. I totally rule.

Task manager - anything based on the original Wisbar, depending on the functionality you want. Try a few from this page: http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/...=rating&cat=24

I use vBar, but you may want something with a bit more functionality.

I use this Battery level Today addon, but there are many: http://www.geocities.com/tomgigear77/Software.html
