Default Dell D600 & Broken SODIMM Hinges

Hi All,
Well to extend the life of my Dell D600 thought it was a good idea to upgrade from 1GB(512x2) -> 2GB(1GBx2). Purchased some compat memory at a fraction of the Dell price but when removing one of the SODIMM's the hinges on the Motherboard decided to break 8^(. Now only one slot appears to be working! Just wondering if this is repairable? Already had to replace the motherboard once when I broke the PCMCIA card slot 8^(.

Thanks for your time

Chris

what do you mean "broke" - did it physically snap? or just the hinge fall out?

if it fell out, you can pop it back in, has happened to me before... but if it's snapped, then you're screwed

More of the snapped variety unfornately I think But interesting with you say they can fallout! Would it be possible to take the hinges from my old motherboard and use them on this one?

Thnx
