I never own a dell laptop just my other half use the own a 300m 3 years ago the spec was ok she was talked in to by dell saleperson to buy a dell docking station (the laptop is thin so no place for cd or dvd drive) with a cd-rom so she can't play dvd with it also the build quality was so bad compare to my evo n600c. I wonder why so many ppl still buy dell laptop (cheap)?

Dell laptops are value for $ IMHO.

Its not every day that a laptop explodes and just because it happened to be a DELL on this occasion doesnt mean that they are bad at all.

I have seen pictures of a Toshiba and an Apple laptop cook themselves and melt the screen/keys. FYI: Apple said that the owner of the laptop must have done something to cause the accident but some bright spark noticed a fault with an Apple capacitor inside the laptop. Apple then agreed it was a freak occurence and that they also agreed there was a fault with the capacitor setup and would change it in future.

Probably a fault with the battery. It must be pretty scary to be sitting infront of the little bastard typing away then BAM!!

Or the guy must of been flaming the shit out of a n00b and the thing caught fire.
