Default ipaq lcd repair

gday all.

i recently got myself a new ipaq h6365 and when I was out the other night I had it in my pocket, as it doubles as my phone, in its leather case, i pulled it out and to my dismay I found the lcd had cracked. I had simply been walking all night and it had this nice crack in the screen. I've had this unit just on 2 weeks and im devastated as I fear it is going to cost me an arm and a leg to get repaired.

I was just wondering if any1 has had this happen themselves and can recommend the cheapest place they could find to get it repaired. As far as I can tell it is just the LCD that has been cracked and not the actual touch screen. I havent called HP about this yet because i'm expecting around the $300 mark for repair from them and want to evaluate all other options first. thanks for any help.

just a bit more expensive than that.
But www.pdasmart.com is about they only place that you can get decent price LCD/Touch Screen replacements.

But I seem to remeber certain model/s used to have a problem with the screens cracking on them.

well thats a start thanks. USD -> AUD works out to ~ $250 not including shipping so it looks a little better than hp. thanks for the reply.

I very much doubt that you will get it done bone for cheaper than that, and I'm sure that my quote from HP repairs for my cracked touch screen on my 5550 was more that $500.
