Logitech G7 (Carbon Fibre special edition)
Ok, this is my 2nd review, first one wasn't an over the top one, I try to keep them simple - and noob proof! Came in the mail by courier from Nintek, the packaging is very nice, catches your eye. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Got the mouse out of the packaging, and it looks awsome! Very nice and shiney, and lightweight (without battery). Comes with the USB reciever, two batteries, the mouse and the charger (this has a usb port on it for the reciever, if you will) ![]() Its awsome to hold in your hand, it fits perfectly like its molded! With the battery inside the mouse, it does get quite heavy, but for some gamers who like heavy mouses, maybe not enough. I must admit, I liked having two buttons on the side of my MX518 for net browsing (back and forward) but the G7 only has one, that defaults to Back on your browser. ![]() Another improvement that I found really cool was the little led display on the left hand side of the mouse, it's not raised up so you cant feel it, and it looks real neat. When your using your mouse normally, you will see a little man and meter showing what dpi you are currently using - in orange light. When the mouse isn't moving, it will go to a green battery indictator showing how much battery life is left. The logitech website states that you will get 2 and a half days out of the batteries, but in saying that - Im predicting you'll get a maximum of about 8 hours - which should be enough for any gamer. Anyone going beyond that, well don't blame logitech! Once the battery is empty, the other one in the recharger should be at full charge, so you can easily switch them over in a matter of seconds (Before you get fragged!). Here's some technical spec's for the mouse: Quote:
The finish on the G7, which all the hype is about really, is just awsome. Its high gloss, you can see yourself in it And the Carbon Fibre finish is wicked!![]() In conclusion, This mouse is awsome! It feels like its floating on air on my mousepad (Icemat 2nd edition), its got all the buttons and lights you'd want, and its got the cool led display. It's absolutely any hardcore gamer's must if he wants wireless (Which in my perspective, doesn't have any downsides to wired at this level!) Once i've tested it for a few days, ill bring back my findings with the battery life. Pro's: Feels awsome in your hand, the teflon pads make it glide awsome on a good mousepad - Nearly as good on normal surfaces (Wood desk's) Cool LED Display DPI increase/decrease buttons Batteries have a long life Looks awsome, High gloss finish Cheap compared to other Cordless/High end mice ($119) Con's: Only one button on the side, instead of the two found on the MX518 A weight insert similair to the G5's would be a good idea for gamer's that want a heavier mouse Only for Right hander's Some more pictures, after them is my final rating. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My rating? 9.5/10 If there's any other photos, or any other help you need about this mouse you want - Just post what you need ![]() (C) MrSmith/ThraXx 2006

2.4GHz is cool, hopefully the response time would be a bit better than my mx1000. Its a good mouse, but I reckon it feels a bit unresponsive sometimes when I'm playing games. Its on 127MHz I think.

But there may be some driver's out there if it wont plug n' play (I havn't installed drivers, dont see the point unless you want to configure all the extra buttons to something special.
