Few things:
- Dr Pepper's disgusting - It was never popular in Australia - it had a huge marketing campaign but failed pretty dismally. - Red Eye is still available in like every store on the planet... (ok I lie but its pretty much everywhere) |

You can get dr. pepper in brisbane in the queen street mall on the ground floor just opposite the food court there is a little chocolate shop and it has an entire section of american choclate bars and soft drinks.. you can get dr. pepper .. root beer .. cherry coke .. wild cherry pepsi .. and a crap load of other stuff you cant get anywhere else in australia. I go there once in a while and pick up a can of dr. pepper and a pack ofreeces peanut butter cups
.. just to remind me of home ( canada ). So yeah .. if your in brisbane thats the place to go. |

I used to love this root beer I got at the supermarket - dirty dog. It was epic stuff. Root beer is great though, and sars ain't too bad either.
That red eye stuff was a very early energy drink if I remember correct, and not too bad either. |

I've found Dr. Pepper at a few Asian grocery stores. I think it's a slightly different version of the drink we used to get, but it's pretty close to what we used to get. It's better than nothing
![]() As for Sars, there's still heaps of varieties available. Kirks' Big Sars is still being sold, as are most of the other brands. I wouldn't drink McSars Double Sars, but I'm pretty sure it's still available too. Sars is also available in cordial form through Golden Circle.

I love Dr. Pepper. harder than hell to find though in Australia. Quote:
Well in response to #1 its carbonated prune juice. #2 what do you expect when cadbury schwepps makes it so the bottles blow the tops off so hard that they hit you in the face? *grin* I had that happen in Australia no shit. Those warning labels I take them seriously now. #3 nothing can replace Dr. Pepper. Give me any generic or fake look alike etc and I can tell the difference. ![]() Quote:
There is no middle ground and those of us that love it will go to extreme lengths to find it

The bigger safeway/woolworths stores usually have it. I think we have Redeye too, but i'm pretty sure they deleted that crap.
If we do have it i'll let you know, and you can go to your nearest safeway and have them order it in for you. |

I hate that shit, but love sarsparilla.
Red Eye is easy to get my foodland sells it. http://www.usafoods.com.au shows $17.50 for 12 cans of Dr Pepper..., $1.45 each.. not unreasonable for a can of ur favourite soft drink... I mean, most people are prepared to pay $1.60 for a can. R |

Funny this popped up, I have a friend who just bought some Dr Pepper from Sugar Fix in the QVB in Sydney. It's been so long since I drank it though that I can't remember what it tastes like.
