Default New Dell Inspiron E1505 Quick and Dirty

Two days old, Core Duo 2 Ghz, 1gb ram, 100GB Hd, 945 video suits me, XP MCE, Very pleased with it, Software is hugely crapped up with all kinds of bloat. Still finding stuff I want to remove. Ghost 10 which come as a 90 day trial w/n function because there were partitions added apparently just to mess with the "Unavailable MBR slot" message, I didn't care for the way the had the 100 gb partitioned any way, + I got the os install dvd as part of the package. Put in my partition Magic cd, Nuked partition 4, formatted partition and combined with partition 5, then combined with 3, then resized three to 60GB, which leaves the partition 1 as the 40something MB Dell, then C drive as partition 2, then 3 for my stuff. The McAfee trial is a huge @#$%^ to remove, finally resorted to safe mode, then used old stashed version of JV16 to finally get rid of all of it. The display is awesome LCD ultrasharp, 1680 x 1050 is almost overkill. Pleased with the mediacenter part too, Paid US$ 986.

Yeah, bit random. Glad you're happy with your machine, next time use a u0085 once in a while.

Can this thread be deleted? I don't want anyone else to waste a minute of their life reading the original post.
