Looks great.
What price did you pick it up for? Did you use the recent $350 off pricing? Compared to the latitudes the pricing on the precisions hasn't moved much since their release a few months ago. |

hell. thats alright at stock!
i know the answers are going to be "bloody" and "useless" respectively, but how much does it weigh (particuarly with the 17' screen!) and what kind of battery life do you get out of it? i mean, with those specs, it's got to be pushing 4-5kgs...and i'm assuming sub 1 hour battery life!

i dont have any scales accurate enough but dell lists it as 3.9kg. the power adaptor is a brick tho, prob another 1kg
battery life surprisingly isnt too bad. the other day i watched a movie with full brightness and no wifi, with 56k modem on and got down to 25% after 2hr of movie. so i am assuming if i turned the brightness way down i'll prob get >3 from what i have seen of other reviews on the net u can get 3.5hr out of it with min brightness and surfing wifi which is not bad at all. |

i'm assuming once cranked up in 3d mode it's chewing like gurner though? what's gaming like on it? particularly the keyboard layout. I found on the dell 9400's, i just couldn't quite get used to the slightly smaller keys, particuarly the lack of resistance.

Nice super-pi score and pretty impressive 3Dmark scores considering it's a workstation card. (Someone correct me otherwise)
