Depends on what you plan on doing with your HTPC - but how about a digital TV card?

Not the best choice.
* Poor cooling * Netburst P4s run hot. * Poor/No upgrade path * Aesthically unpleasing for HTPC. * Limited expansion. I'd get a microatx HTPC case like the Antec NSK2400. Can be had for $135 and it includes a good quiet psu. Very silent case, with good cooling. That leaves you with $150 for a mobo. I reccomend an Asus 939 or 754 Via based motherboard, and a good low profile heatsink. XP-120 perhaps. EDIT - I see you allready have a 478 CPU. Sell it and buy an AMD. Since 939/754 K8M800 boards are $50-$70, you could buy a CPU and it would still be less then buying the Shuttle. Last edited by vindicator; 4th July 2006 at 8:59 PM. |

I figured you had a 478 cpu, since you're looking at a 478 shuttle ;-) |
