Yo guys,
I need to get some notebook ram, but buying pc-133 sodimm is quite expensive over here. Has anyone bought or could recommend an overseas seller ? I got an IBM Thinkpad R31. It's got PIII M 1.06GHz chip. Can't remember much else atm. gumble

I dont think it would be a good idea to get ram from o/s for the simple fact of compatibility.
I remember picking up a stick of 128mb pc133 so-dimm ram for a cousin a few months back for $30 at a swap meet and had to test a few dimms before finding one that worked with the other dimm that was already present. A plus buying locally is the ability to the check the ram for compatibility. It would be a headache buying o/s and then find out that it doesn't work. :S Otherwise, one reputable o/s seller that comes to mind is Newegg.com |
