I wish to join!
Member no: 666 (Unless it's taken) I seriously though I was the only Australian person who enjoyed Dr. Pepper. I buy armfulls of it every time I'm in the CBD - there's a place in the QVB called "Sugar Fix" - you can buy cans there for about $3. Totally worth it. I remember being able to buy two liter bottles of the stuff about 6 years ago - they were the days. |

USA foods is the only place that seems to stock it for a decent price because all the others retail from them!

I'm from Ipswich, near Brisbane and whenever I'm in Brisbane ooooo YEAHHHH DOCTOR PEPPER OR ROOT BEER!
Indooroopilly shopping center (top floor in the food court there's a sweet shop next to Hungry Jacks [TRY ROOT BEER TOO ITS AWESOME]) Brisbane CBD Okay, I dunno how to explain this, you've just arrived at central station and gone through the gates, go down the esculator (yes, the really big one) and walk through past those hippies singing and turn right into the food court/walkway near where the carvery and Chinese places are. As soon as you turn right into this complex from the QR walkway there's a sweet shop on your right that sells Dr Pepper and ROOT BEER!!! There's also another shop that's a bit harder to explain, it's in the Myer Center food court at the bottom level, okay, it's hard to explain the side but this is all I can think of, walk from the side of the food court that has the hallway to the Coles Express and the opposing Bakeries (both bakeries are the same) -- okay, now turn around and walk back, there's a sweet shop hidden somewhere along this strip closer to the food court near that random new popular iced tea place. Here you can get unrefrigerated rootbeer/doctor pepper I believe. The other place has refrigerated. As far as I know all places be it central or indooroopilly are $2.60 a can. #edit: At indooroopilly talk to the manager and you can arrange to buy a 24 pack for $60~ or use your skills for a bulk buy, it helps to own your own shop and be prepared to import a container :P lol Last edited by Yankee White; 17th May 2007 at 3:08 PM. |

Hmm .. I want to try some Dublin Dr Pepper.
I kinda honestly think that kinda old corn syrup stuff won't compare to fresh sugary goodness. I enjoyed the slab of Dr Pepper I bought at sugarfix but it didn't quite have that crisp kick to it that I recall when acquiring it was as easy as going down to any ol' local shop..
