Best Driving / Racing game for XBOX360

Hey all,

Just after your opinion on whats the best Racing / Driving game available for the 360??

I think all thats available is:

Need for Speed: Most Wanted
Project Gotham Racing 3
Ridge Racer 6
Burnout Revenge

Im after a game similar to Gran Turismo.. Something with 2nd hand cars if possible, and heaps of tracks..

Any recommendations??

None of them match what you want, nor is there anything on the short to mid term as far as I am aware. Forza 2 will probably be the closest you'll get to GT when it comes out.

PGR3 is a good game though, and I highly reccomend it, as well as the extremely promising looking Test Drive Unlimited which is due out pretty soon.

Imo, the best racing game on 360 is Forza Motorsport from the original xbox, which offers everything you want and can be had for ~$10 from ebay.

for 360 best atm would mayb b pgr3 or rr6 (havn't played rr tho)

but my fav is full auto racing sik cars and blowing shit up what could b more fun?

PGR 3 at the moment is probably the most playable that i've encountered. The Kudos system is actually quite challenging and rewarding for rankings, because you have to finish first in the race, as well as pulling off drifts and tricks. So it definitely feels worthwhile.

I downloaded the Test Drive Demo, it's pretty freaking insane the levels of detail they have gone to in mimicing the fine details of the car models (stitching and ventilation on the seats) as well as the actual engine sounds. Can anyone confirm if they recorded the real cars that correspond to the sound? Or just took mimics of other high revving engines? The Gallardo sounds nice and revvy, just like it's real life counterpart.

The physics arent too bad either, will really be curious how it shapes up

Need For Speed is kinda short lived, I honestly think they had it right with Underground 2 in terms of the fun factor, this new one just feels like Hot Pursuit thrown in with a few new cars. It also has a very inconsistent frame rate.

Ridge Racer 6: Been there done that, they seem to offer less and less that is 'new' in each RR reincarnation.
