Hi everyone!
I have a Border Collie who is about 18 months nearly, and recently got desexed last month, but for about 6 months we've had a Jack Russell live with us (she was a stray noone claimed). Now recently they have been fighting.. like I mean full on fighting with blood and stuff Before the Border Collie got desexed she was very tolerant of Jackie (original name huh?) bossing her around because Jack Russells are usually bossy no? But now, she will bite and snap back. Does this have anything to do with both of them now being desexed? I have no idea how old the Jack Russell is, but she has a tattoo in her ear saying she's desexed. Is this behaviour normal? Because it seems my Mandy (Border Collie) has changed her temperment, or she's just had enough of the other one. I know Mandy can probably take out Jackie by herself, so I don't wanna come home to that.. Anyone also know a way they can both sort of be more friendly (I guess) towards eachother..? [Edit] This fight (well the really big one) was tonight, and I couldn't break them apart, so I hit them with a pillow and they finally tired out, so I freaked out and put them in separate rooms. Mandy came out on top and Jackie now has a wound in her jaw -_-

Dogs fight, and if they want to, they'll do it again when you're not looking if they have to. Give them time, they'll sort it out amongst themselves, once they've swapped scars.
The cause is probably the hormonal changes after the de-sexing.
