Default Patriot DDR2 - what chips ?

Does anyone know what ic's are used in the new Patriot DDR2 rams that are now available ? I am mostly interested in the 800mhz as the 1000 are worth a heap .

Any help would be great .

You are more likely to have better luck sifting through XS. If it is binned at DDR2-1000, chances are it is Micron based. The number of people who use Patriot RAM here are few, and even fewer are the number of people who rip the spreaders off to check what's underneath.

I would be searching the web for any info that pops up with the model details in the search field. What model specifically are you looking at?

If you are just after something to match a Conroe rig then just splash on some Gskill HZ.

The Patriot PC8000+ apparently use Micron D9's, but I'm not pulling the heat spreaders of mine to find out
