Default Double sided and single sided problem....

hi all....its me, the problematic guy again....

i've got this friend who has this MSI K8N Neo4 Platinium running AMD 3000....
recently he decided to upgrade his RAM.....

the problem is....the instruction manual says that he can onli insert 4 slots of single sided RAM with DDR400 RAMs or 4 slots of double sided ones DDR333......

jus wanna ask will it affect anything or does it matter at all if he put 4 slots of DDR400 double sided RAMs on the board?

regards....

The motherboard will force the ddr400 to run at ddr333
What core is the 3000+? Venice?

Then four double sided sticks *should* be able to run at ddr400, although you may have to force the bios to run them at that speed, otherwise they'll default to ddr333 (a bit slower and probably offset by performance benefit of having more ram anyway) The command rate should be set at 2t when running 4 double sided sticks as well, but hopefully the moerboard will change this automatically for you.
