I read on Paul's Unofficial KT7 FAQ that the 3C bios stuffs up the RAID setup on a machine.........
I prefer the ZT bios. Nice and stable.
Seems that i got the ZT 103b one......i think its a beta, but at least its working, no problems
But really, if there's nuthin wrong with your system, don't flash to a newer bios, in case it stuff up, and you kill your machine. I did that to my celeron box, and had to wait 3 weeks for a new bios chip.

3C is now, so the next one should be like 4C or 3D.....heheh
btw, anyone know when you will be able to pick mulitpliers like 14, 15 and 16 etc separately? I know ZT has that option, but its 12x~17x and the bios auto chooses your multiplier if u use that option.

I'll share some experience w/the the Abit bioses. I have tested every single one of them when on this KT7A and have found quite a few to have some issues. ZT is not very good when it comes to overclocking and seems to have some stability issues. WZ seems to have the same issues. WW is a very stable bios and overclocks quite well, however my pick at the moment is the ZH bios. This was actually the first bios for the KT7E board and has not been properly tested w/the KT7A or KT7 boards, but it is the most stable I have used and has allowed me to overclock higher than I could using any other bios.

Only problem w/this bios is those w/RAID boards will suffer as I don't think it supports it. But if you have a plain vanilla KT7 or KT7A give it a go.

I don't suppose that you've benchmarked each one, have you. I'd be really interested to see that. i've updated my KT7A to each new BIOS as it is released, and quite honestly, haven't noticed much difference in performance or OCing.

Then again, I have a dud Duron when it comes to OC anyways.

Cool 3C Bios in action

The 3C bios removes STRIPE arrays but does not affect MIRROR arrays.

I have found 3C extremely stable (more than ZT)

NOTE: if you have a mirror array, after you update the bios, copy the mirror for the highpoint bios just to be sure before you bring the box back up.
