Hi all !
I really hope someone can help - my rig is:- P5B Dlx - 0609 BIOS E6600 @ 3.6gig = 8 x 450 CPU Voltage 1.474 actual - drops to 1.464 under full o/cc load HZ memory x 2gig running very loose at 5/6/6/18 [ this is the problem ] B/T Cooling Max Load Temp in closed case is 58'C - runs at normal o/c load temp of 48'C - idles at O/C @ 43'C System is fully stress tested, prime / cpuburn / orthos / superpi etc ... stable -it is absolutley rock solid and has been running for several days now, 24/7 at this speed. My problem is no matter what I do, when o/c, my HZ will *not* run at 4/4/4/12 . It *only* boots and runs at AUTO which results in 5/5/5/18. I've tried 1.8v up to 2.45v - auto and manual - all BIOS from 0507 up to 0609 - no go ....... At stock 2.4 it AUTO sets to 4/4/4/12. At stock 2.4 AUTO and running at 2:1 it Memtest runs all day at 533mhz [DDR1066] @ 2.35v so I *know* its not my ram ?!?!?! In an otherwise perfect setup, this is driving me nuts !! All help & advice much appreciated. Thanks, Ben |

So what are you trying to run the memory at 900MHz 4-4-4-12??

Hi Tox
No, I have *tested* it at stock 2.4 AUTO and running at 2:1 it Memtest runs all day at 533mhz [DDR1066] @ 2.35v so I *know* its not my ram. I am running it at 1:1 in my o/c - 450 - but it refuses to boot or run at anything below 5/6/6/18 ? Ben |

Did you ever think that you're trying to run the overclock too high?

This is the most stable O/C I've ever had - indeed it runs just as stable at 3.8, but I use 3.6 as my 24/7 setting.
The ram is tested up to 533 [ 1066 DDRII ] by me, @ 2.35v and it is fully Memtest stable ie: 24+ hours and zero errors. So, no, it is not the O/C. Ben |

Guess what
As a last ditch attempt, I checked the ram and it appeared to be not fully clicked-down. Anyway, I just took out and re-seated both the sticks and gues what - 4/4/4/12 @ 450 @ 1:1 @ 2.1v. Go figure ..... Thanks to all for contributing. Ben |
