A Geforce Go 7600 is comperable to a desktop 7600gs.

it has faster clock speeds but fewer pipelines (8 instead of 12) than the 7600gs and some models seem to only have a 64-bit memory bus.

Your 6800gt is defenately going to be faster. mabye about 20%-30% faster on average.

Still, it's a half decent performer as far as laptops go.

Would anyone know what a 7900GS Go would be comparable to?

About 85% the speed of a desktop 7900GT.

I'm pretty sure the Geforce Go 7600 is officially "up to 400/400". Nvidia state that the GPU can be run that fast, but manufacturers frequently run it slower to conserve heat/power. Since it's 8 pipelines, at those speeds it'd probably have a hard time beating a desktop 6600GT (and a desktop 7600GS is a bit quicker than that).

It's certainly not a bad GPU. In a laptop with a very limited resolution, it'll be fine - and it's among the best you can get in a 15.4" laptop (the alternatives are the GF Go 7600GT, GF Go 7700, and Radeon X1600/X1700).
