Default Red Pixels on 640m

Hi,

I recently got a Dell 640m laptop about a month ago. I noticed about a week ago or so that when I play movies or just have the background wallpaper showing red pixels start to appear and move around as the movie is playing, or when I move the laptop. It's really annoying, I'll try and get a photo to show what I'm talking about, but I'm on the verge of not touching this laptop again.

Anyone know of this problem or heard of it?

Cheers.

Well, I hope not because I've had one for the last two months but I haven't been watching movies. I'll go home and try watching a couple tonight. Good excuse to try my recent acquisitions of Asterix and an awesome snowboarding movie

Hey, how's your battery life going? What sized mattery did you get? I picked up a 9 cell and after 4 hrs of use, it still reports 40 odd percent of life remaining

Yeah I got the 9 cell too. 100gb HDD, 1gb ram, came with that $800 off and few wireless router/leather carry bag. Great deal, just no graphics card

Here is a photo from my mobile phone (parents have the camera )

Nah they aren't getting stuck, they move when I move the screen backwards and forwards, or when I play video and theres movement in the video, they move. I'll show you a photo from my mobile with video on.

It'll probably either be a loose cable to the LCD, or a problem with the GPU itself. Either way, I'd probably call Dell and get them to fix it (no chance of losing your warranty that way).
