i assumed that super flower = crappy generic as i got my 430 watter from the disc shop however it has proved itself as reliable, had it for over a year now, but its reading on the rails do fluctuate a bit.

I have read this review with interest. I need a cheap (but not cheap) PSU that supplies at least 30A on the 5v rail. The problem is identifying if the one that MSY is selling for $95 described in their price list as
"Super Flower 500w Real Power" is the model reviewed.

It does not figure on the SF website.

All MSY can tell me is that it is "SuperFlower 500W SLi Dual PCI-E 14cm Fan, 230V".

The lack of a spec table on the box and the lack of a model number does not inspire confidence...

Can anyone who has bought one from MSY recently confirm that it is the one reviewed?

I bought this PSU all together with a new cpu, ram, mobo, vga, hdd, psu. I loved it. Especially the large blue led fan?
I thought that with my 7900gtx it wasn't enough wattage. So i upgraded to an Enermax Liberty 620w. But i took out the large superflower blue led fan and used it for a case fan.
The heavier the psu. The high quality it is. The superflower is heavy.
Good psu.

My SF is still going very strong, hasn't skipped a beat. I'm using it in a heavily overclocked audio workstation that is often nearing full cpu load. I replaced the big fan with a smaller one that isn't so damned noisy and it has been wonderful. Silent, solid. My computer hasn't crashed for eons.

Best buy of a long time.

well after almost a year, my super flower 500w has decided to die. I went away for a week and when i came back i turned the computer on and left the room. when i came back the room was filled with smoke but i guess the weird thing is that the computer still boots! only problem so far is the psu spews enough toxic smeling gas into the room, it could double as a smoke machine and i am too scared to leave it on for too long incase it takes out my whole computer.
