Default Pets in love with inanimate objects.....

I have a Indian Ringneck parrot who is in love with a Plastic tube (its the inner tube of a roll of cotton). He carries it around with him all the time, takes it for a bath, drops it in his food so it can eat and also "sex0rs" it.

Does anyone else have weird behavoiur from their pets?

VIDEO here!!!

I have a rainbow lorikeet that has weird behavior. He bounces and jumps on his stick, wiggles his tongue if you wiggle yours at him and also hisses with his tongue hanging out the right side of his beak. Not too sure if this is weird or normal behavior for a lorikeet.

I have an alexandrine,

he will grab anything that you have usually, did he ever see you with it? very strange since your type of bird has such a small beak

my bird *loves* getting a spoon with some form of food on it and *actually* holds it right

EDIT: Ok watched that video...your bird is flapped in the head man...

wtf is he doing to the ground? is he SITTING with his BUTT on the ground!?! that is the weirdest behaviour i've ever seen - aside from my bird slamming his beak into the cage bars at night in an attempt to bite anyone that wakes him up :P

My cockatiel masturbates all day on his perch like that... and when I say all day, I am not over reacting.

I was very sick not long ago, and I basically didn't move for a few days, everytime I would look up at the bird he was going for it...

I have a great dane that has a favourite blanket.

Will not go anywhere without it, cant sleep without it, wont lay down without it, if you wash it and put it outside on the clothes line.. cant stand to be inside without it..

and when she finally has it she wraps herself up in it and sucks on it... until she falls asleep with it in her mouth.

she doesnt try to sex0r it though

our alexanderine used to do that. really thought it was a human and not a bird. would eat chicken legs in similar fashion. it would balance on one leg and hold the chicken leg like we would at the small end and eat rip away at it like a human would. he would sometimes lose balance and fall of his pirch, but wouldn't let go of the leg.

The only inanimate objects my cat is interested in:
- Food
- Things that smell like food
- Things that may or may not contain food
- Things that can be used to make loud noises...in order to draw attention to his desire for more food...at fucking 3AM!

I used to have one of those wool car stearing wheel covers. Washed it one day and then left it laying around on the couch. Next thing I know my little dog is humping that thing for all it's worth.

I originally thought he was just biting it but it didn't take long to realise he wasn't.

Suffice to say it now sleeps outside with him.

wtf with the video... he's like the Duff Man of birds "oooohh yehhh" *thrusts*

My west highland terrier sucks towells
I don't know whether its a sexual thing, its kind of just lays there sucking it and gets pretty angry it you disturb it. We've tried weening her off the towells but no matter what she seems to find on in the washing or something and get back on the bandwagon
