try tosh.empr.com.au, they sell user replaceable parts only (although the board does seem to be user replaceable). Good service and close too (well for me)

ok, gave empr call, closed emailed them, they're giving me quote tomorrow for a replacement, im looking at 500+!, found a reco'd systemboard and case for 250 off ebay.. might get that..

Im after a Toshiba Series 1410 or 1415 motherboard. Going to make a repair worklog in the future with this laptop

I'll have a look and see if I have any 1410 mobo's at work for you, but I don't think we have any working ones...
1410's are pretty easy to swap mainboards in
