I'll bite.

It won't be better, game-wise.

- It's more expensive
- Less games at launch compared to the 360's current lineup
- NO RUMBLE
- As of yet unknown online facet of gameplay

However, the battle between BluRay and HD-DVD hasn't started yet.

More atomic bannings happening it appears?

Of course the PS3 will be better. XBOX IS TEH GHEY, AND LOL TEH XBOX 1 WAS HUEG!

It's powered by Cell, fed by the crazy market-speak processing power of Ken Kutaragi, (after E3, basing it on the Kaz Hirai Emotion Engine was scrapped, due to Kaz being an emotionless robot - "RIIIIIIIDGE RAAAAAACEEEER!").

It also features the Blu-Rays, the only way to bring you actual battles from ancient Japan in high definition, see your GIANT ENEMY CRABS in detail like never before, so you can attack them using great new PS3-exclusive features like REAL TIME WEAPON CHANGE, which you can harness to attack it's weakpoint for MASSIVE DAMAGE!

It also has great games, like ones you already own, but in HD! That you get to buy again - which is great, because if you like buying stuff again... You can also further Sony's attempts at world domination by re-purchasing your entire DVD library on Blu-Ray! BUT STILL, THERE'S MORE!

How much would you expect to pay?

$400? NO!
$500? NO!
$600? OF COURSE NOT!

So, you gets the Blu-Rays, the shiny new Ken Kutargi processing engine, a High-definition trip to ancient Japan, consumer satisfaction, and next generation hardware (cause it doens't start till Sony says it does)...

ALL FOR THE LOW, LOW PRICE OF ABOUT $1000, depending on price cuts.

Yeah, the PS3 is gonna pwn!

Spoiler below, highlight to read:
It's a joke, PS3 fanboys need not apply.

Japanese media giant Enterbrain recently surveyed retailers, as reported by Gamefront.de, about their expectations for game system sales this holiday season. We know you're not surprised, but right now? The show is all Nintendo.

Retailers were asked, "Which next generation console do you think will sell better this Christmas?" The results lean heavily toward Nintendo -- 88% thought the Wii would boast better sales, and 11% settled on the PS3. We're not sure if it's worse that Microsoft wasn't even listed (perhaps because the Xbox 360 was released last year) or that Sony only garnered 11% in the poll.

The Wii loses, however, when it comes to all systems ... because 60% of retailers queried thought the Nintendo DS would be the top dog of all holiday console sales. Only 32.8% chose the Wii ... and a shocking 3.3% picked the PS3.

Question 1: which new console will sell better this holiday season?

* 88% Wii
* 11% PS3

Question 2: including all hardware, which system will generate the most sales?

* 60.7% Nintendo DS
* 32.8% Nintendo Wii
* 3.3% PS2
* 1.6% PS3
* 1.6% Xbox 360

If retailers are right, it'll be a Nintendo holiday this December (in Japan). Oh, hey: PSP, WRU?
I will prob get a PS3 but of the two, the 360 is the better choice untill middle of next year. Sony has lost a lot of support and exclusives so the PS3 cannot justify its self anymore.

Blu-Ray? Who cares. 1080p? Who cares?

There are already threads going for all the consoles, so feel free to post in them instead of starting new ones every time you have an idea...

You'll care in 5 years when the PS3 is still going and 1080p is the norm

Really? When only about 30% of people own HD ready TV's, and less than 5% are able to do 1080p? Or the fact that most average people cant tell the difference between a DVD and an HD movie, moreso when the movie is run at 720p or 1080p?

Again, 1080p? Who cares?

i'd be suprised if 5% own 1080p TVs, let alone in this region....

maybe .005%

I'm sick of Sony saying what we need, my 2 1080i HD screens looks amazing, and I sure as hell arent selling to get a 1080p
