Default Wanted: Loan of Shuttle P/S to verify that my P/S is faulty

My Shuttle SB86i has decided to die on me.
When I turn it on the LED comes on but it will not POST.
(It must be the season for it as I've noticed a couple of other people on here who've had recently departed ones)

I suspect either the M/B or P/S is faulty. (The latter would be much cheaper to replace).

Is there anyone in or near Brisbane who would be willing to let me try my Shuttle on a spare/unused Shuttle P/S of theirs so I can determine if it's my P/S that's faulty?

I'll gladly spring for a carton of beer/bottle of spirits/similarly priced item for helping me out.

Cheers,
TS.

About a year ago or so, I came across a SB86i with the same problem. I left it for about a month or so and it had suddenly worked again. It's in use today and it's still working today. Have you tried taking out the powersupply and battery and the USB/Sound/mmc card reader connectors for a day or so? see if that helps, surely was to fix this problem.

Do you particularly need a Shuttle P/S to test? Would a normal power supply do the job? Just won't fit in the enclosure...

It appears this one does.
I'll have another check though.

Depends if either of mine would work:
SN45G (AXP)
SN95G5 (A64)
Willing to try.

Available tonight, Thursday night, Sunday arvo, if you are nearby and can drop in.

PM me.

I too have one here if required. It's currently in an SN41G2 that's sitting beside my desk.

Getting it to you may prove a little tricky but, I've barely got the time to sleep at the moment...
