Default O2 XDA Atom :( frozed

I purchased the O2 XDA atom off a fellow forum member and recieved the Atom yesterday. I only have really had a proper fiddle with it today, but after finishing a phone call the PDA froze up. I took the battery out and put it back in, the PDA is frozen on the opening o2 display/picture. And doesn't seem to react to anything, reseting doesn't even work

Considering the nature of this forum. Any uber-techs got some advice for me (please)? Any advice would be useful!

Thanks
Wa Tur

Not familiar with the pda, but you'll need to hard reset it. Pressing the reset button is only a 'soft' reset.

May I enquire how I am to hard reset it?

Now that's why I said I wasn't familiar with that model. Manual/Internet maybe?

To do a hard rest on an Atom press the reset along with the power button at the same time. Update to latest ROM (aka firmware) on the O2 website.

Thanks everyone for your assistance . I figured out (with help) what I'm meant to do, only problem is I can't install the software onto the PDA as the PDA doesn't get past the error screen. It's a nasty cycle. So it seems I'll just harrass O2 Australia when 9am comes around.

Thanks again!
Have a fun day

You can boot into safe mode, press the reset button along with the camera button it will boot to a prompt, all you need to do then is plug in the USB cable and run the ROM update.
