To save having to refresh the list multiple times to find servers, set this in UserData\YourPlayerName\Multiplayer.ini

Concurrent Server Updates="5000"

That way you'll get all servers listed every time.

can do low 14s now!! I Play at OMR.

Pheww....I was struggling in the 19s-20s before and couldn't seem to do any better. The rear end was throwing a LOT around Skyline. Now the car handles much better due to tuning.

I can definitely improve on the Murrarys and Hell corner. Been really conservative there only cos I wanted to complete the laps with my tuned settings. So I have yet to refine my drive around there.

Basically, I struggled ALOT during my 20s and remained there for a while- I was restricted due to poor tuning. Then I jumped from 20s to 17s with some tune-up. And with further tuning, went to 14s .

Overall, my car lacks speed! Clearly evident @ the conrod Straight. I am doing around 271km/hr exactly on the apex of that bit of the hill on Conrod.

go to rfactorcentral.com /setups/downloadsetups/Bathurst ORSM/V8Supercars an get mine and alphaOne's setups You will find that after a couple of hundred laps you'll get a bit faster,i have done 2.09.xxx but if you only do laps every onceinawhile you'll struggle to do 13's

rFactor noob here. I just registered my copy online & have downloaded the V8Factor & F1 2006 mods. Will get '07 next month when I upgrade the internet connection.

I'd like to know what setups do you guys use for V8s ie TC, Stability, Steering. Is anything on at all? Alpha_One's setup is what I'm using. So far with no settings enabled I'm at 2:18 and getting better.

I've put low stability & high TC for the F1 cars & turned everything else off. Is this the best config?

Better to start with no aids at all m8,you dont learn bad habbits and it makes it that bit more enjoyable knowing its just you and the car
Make sure you turn off "speed sensitive steering"---that one'll stuff you up real bad :0 Doh v8's im talking about not f1 ? my Holden v8's all i need lol (love the champ cars at Surfers though......)

Yeah I wouldn't use stability control at all, makes it too easy and arcade like.

You can most definitely use TC in the F1 though as they use it in real life (though I find the F1 in rFactor grips a lot more than the F1 in LFS and I can actually drive the F1 in rFactor without TC sometimes.)

In V8's I don't use anything, in F1's I use low TC and low ABS. Remember that too much TC can affect your corner speed, coz sometimes it's quicker to slide/spin the car a little bit.

^ what agg said!

Ive not used any driving aids in rFactor, not really for speed reasons (altho as noted by agg, this should be considered... esp TC) but more because the nailbiting aspect is what i love about sims.

Also helps having good steering wheel/pedals.

Woot, 80 lap NASCAR race tonight on ausfactor and i cant wait! (by the bye, some of the freaks in this league can turn sub 2:10s at panorama all day every day... my best is 2:13).

I cant stand nascar in RF, NR03 is the ultimate NASCAR game imo. Also PCC06/07 out within the next 3 or so weeks and that is going to be one hell of a mod.
