Do Dell provide a protectic sleeve with a laptop purchased from them?
I know they have the bags at an extra fee, but i really like to have a protective pouch/sleeve for it, even if i use a bag, i like to put it in a sleeve as well. I think they should if not, cause they are hard to buy the right fit outside of one specificly made for a laptop. Does anyone know if you can get these sleeve custom made anywhere? I rang Clark Rubber, but they said they can only cut the foam to fit the inside. |

And it costs only around $40. Might be worth checking it out. |

http://www.stmbags.com.au/glove Sure STM sells them, along with a whole bunch of other places, including a lot on ebay which i've sorted through. The problem is, unless the sleeve was specificly designed for your laptop, then it's not going to be a good fit, and wont fit at all, or the laptop will be swimming around in it. I don't trust the inside of a regular laptop bag with my laptop, the sides seem too rough, there could be grit at the bottom, there could be an inside pocket with a zip or other pouches. The 13" Macbook sleeve from STM seems an ok size for a Dell XPS1210, it's one of the better fits, but the width/depth is still to much. All the ebay ones are similar problem, that's why you need custom. |
