Its in a cramped case too, temps measured with Intels Thermal Analysis Tool, its an E6850 BTW.

Should note that it varies with room temp, its a bit warmer in here now, but they are still 39 at the moment.

just wondering how many volts you got going through that cpu?

i have an e6700 @ 3.66, with water. the black ice extreme II dual 120mm radiator, ehiem 1048 pump and danger den rbx waterblock.
about 1.7 vcore. it runs @ 48c idle, 58c 100% load.

@ stock vcore and clock, about 30c idle.

unfortunately it needs lots of volts, which heats it up a fair bit.

uh, what? That's highly unlikely.

Grab a copy of CoreTemp 0.95.4 and configure in settings to show the DTS readings (delta to Tjunction).

What do they read at full CPU load? (either folding or Orthos Small FFT)

i just run wprime to see full load. it actually uses 100% of all cores. just set the thread count in advanced settings to the number of cores in your cpu. this program doesnt require full screen and is only a small program to download. you can check your load temps easily as its not full screen.

FWIW I just ordered a Thermalright 120 Extereme which comes with the Blue LED Scythe. Also got a Scythe E as a rear case fan. Hope it works out OK!

Dunno if its the same dimensions as a P180, but I've just put a Tuniq Tower 120 in a P182, and it fits no worries at all. Ridiculously big cooler, I love it

Top case also. Well built, and very quiet.

Anyone know where one can get Scythe Infinitys from?

PcCaseGear does not have Intel version at the moment or so they told me.

IMHO, Go the Ultra 120 Extreme instead. It'll be better (if you can fit it - otherwise the new Ultima-90 is almost as good) and it costs pretty much the same - PCManiacs has them for $70.

Hey guys,

Not sure if this is right or not, I just helped a friend build his PC... E6750, P5K and Scythe Ninja and Artic Silver 5... bios reports the CPU to be sitting at 19degrees..

Then again, he needs to update the bios because it's giving the uCode error.. not sure if this will affect the proper reporting of temps.
