COOLPC is selling a Sunbeam Clone version of the AC Freezer 7 Pro... apparently its the same product pretty much . for $29, $10 cheaper than the Freezer.

but do you have T120 with you?

Cool, thanks for the heads up, I'll probably order that, there doesn't appear to be any noticable differences other than a $10 saving

I'll let you know what I can find out. Since it's not my box it'll be going into and not even sure what temp software is available on their computer, and plans changed, I'll be going up prior to getting the order delivered so I'll have to wait a week or 2 before I can get back out there (they live in the bush) but since in house temps can often see >40c there I'm recommending some powerful case fans too, in this case noise is not a concern I think, we just need volume moving through that hot little case! They can't tell me much about anything so I'll check what fans are required on Wednesday, order it all and hopefully be back in a week or 2 to install it all.... THEN i can post back some results

hey guys

how does the Big Typhoon and the Big Typhoon VX compare ??? im looking into these 2 heatsinks and it seems like the only difference is the locking mechanism ??? the VX has the 4 pin locks which i suppose i wont need to remove my motherboard during installation ??? whereas the Big Typhoon has the rubber back plate ???

how well does the 4 pin hook on ??? will it decrease performance ???

Lots of good HSFs missing from that line up.

BTW it depends on which site you go to and what advertising they have

Forget this list, the best sinks are actually missing.

The 4 Pin mechanism is more convinient, but I have the feeling the backplate is the better solution.

The VX got a slightly stronger fan, otherwise there is no difference

I got the VX for my DQ6 because of all the crazy cool plating on the back, thought it'd just be less headache. But I've found im not 100% happy with its fixture, I'd like it a smidgeon tighter but can't. It's the first time I've used a cooler with such a mechanism and my opinion is that its a bit of a gimmick. I like more control over fitting coolers than this allows.
