A series of podcasts from the University of Melbourne's Engineering Dean's Lectures.

The Nuclear Energy ones are really good.

Good idea for a thread. I personally recommend:

The Nature Podcast: Nice, short, and since it is from Nature it has a whole bunch of topical things from a wide range of disciplines too. Get it here:
http://www.nature.com/nature/podcast/index.html

The Naked Scientists podcast: found this one through the Nature podcast, actually. Same guy heads it. It's kind of like Dr Karl, actually: a phone-in Q&A type science show.
http://www.thenakedscientists.com/ht...ming_media.htm

I listen to Dr Karl as well. Most of the other science podcasts I have listened to bugged me with either their poor quality (scientifically or production values), or with the fact that their jokes are just really lame. There's some lame jokes in the two podcasts I mentioned, but they're better than most .

The Skeptics Guide to the Universe
A great weekly podcast about science/skeptism, with a very entertaining and funny panel of hosts. Also has a weekly commentary by James Randi. Highly recommended

Watch and Weigh In

Here’s the experiment: Throughout January, PBS will broadcast three new science programs. Only one program will become a regular science series on PBS. We want you to help us decide. Watch the programs on your PBS station or, beginning January 1st, visit the companion sites below to watch each pilot show. Then tell us what you think!

I listen to New Scientist, ABC Starstuff and Scientific American Science Talk and 60 Second science.
http://www.sciam.com/podcast/
I go for 6 hour bike rides and if I am fresh, I plan projects in my mind (with atmospheric electronic background) then I listen to Science podcasts.
When I am getting fatigued I might switch to a narrated story from the library. As my concentration drops further and the brain starts to get numb, I listen to electronic music.
