Ok, heres the thing. I wasnt able to afford DDR800 ram (i mean not many people can with these prices) so I settled for ddr667.
What I have here is 2x 512mb of G.Skill PC5400 LA's Part No: F2-5400PHU2 ( or F2-5400PHU1 if cpu-z is more reliable then the stickers) Its rated for CL 4-4-4-12 @ 1.8v So I decided to try loosening the timings. So I loosened them to 5-5-5-15 thinking this would easily allow me to get my ram to post at ddr800. But windows wouldnt boot if I had the timings that loose and I hadnt even started to fiddle with ram speeds yet. So I decided to take the plunge and set it to DDR800 5-5-5-15 in the bios. No post, had to clear the cmos So now im left wondering, what is holding my ram back? Is it just that I got a horrible bunch of sticks and they should be thrown away? Or is there something im not doing right to get these moving. Also is there any way to figure out what chips it uses without taking off the heatspreaders? Any help would be great Thanks in advance

My 2x1024mb DDR2-667mhz G.Skill NT without heatspreaders memtest stable @ 880mhz with 2.1v (5-5-5-15 timings). Also do you mind posting what system you are running/ocing the ram on. Also make sure you are running your ram at 1:1 if you are running a conroe
hope this helps |

Currently on a Athlon 3600+ x2 MSI K9N Neo 2x 512mb G.Skill LA 7300GT DDR3 EDIT: I just found my ram on review here It looks like I'm going to need to increase the voltage to get a overclock coming along. Pity this dumb bios wont let me change it from the defult 1.8v |
